(Way) Past due? We can help.

IMU has payment plans to fit your budget

If you have not paid your IMU bill for the past 2 or more months, you may qualify for a payment plan to avoid disconnection. We can spread the utility balance over the next 12 months, starting with your next invoice.

Only electric, water, sewer, storm water and recycling charges can be put on a pay plan. Fiber charges are not eligible and must be paid in full before the payment plan can be activated.  The pay plans are a contract, and by signing it, you are agreeing to pay on time each month in full, or the contract may be voided.

When the pay plan starts, you need to pay the invoice balance on or before the 20th due date. The pay plan portion will be added in with your invoice balance, so no need to do any additional calculations.

If you are unable to make your payment, your services will be disconnected, and your pay plan will be defaulted and billed out the next month. If you are able to make your payment late, butbefore the disconnect is processed, your pay plan will continue unchanged.

If services are disconnected, the invoice balance AND the remaining pay plan balance will need to be paid in full to bring the account to a $0 balance to restore service.

EXAMPLE:

You have an open balance of $600. Come in or call our office BEFORE the 20th, and we can set up the pay plan for you, which you can sign in office, or via email. Once the pay plan is active, we divide that balance over the next 12 months, which would add $50 to each invoice until it is paid off.

The next month, you will see the breakdown of the pay plan on your invoice. This shows the amount included in the current invoice balance, and the remaining pay plan balance for each service. In the remittance information box on the top left of your bill, you see the total payment due. Continue to pay each month on time, and after 12 billed invoices, the $600 balance will be paid in full.
