As a public utility, Indianola Municipal Utilities is governed by a local Board of Trustees appointed by the Mayor of Indianola. The IMU Board of Trustees sets all rates for services, which are adjusted as needed to meet the revenue needs of our utilities. The bottom line is that IMU is not driven by a profit motive, so rates are kept as low as possible while delivering exceptional service.
