Notice of Electric Rate Change

On March 28th the IMU Board of Trustees approved a rate increase for water and electric services to meet the rising costs associated with providing and maintaining systems that serve Indianola customers.

Your May invoice will reflect an electric rate increase of 4.9%. Water base rates will increase $1.25/month and $0.50 per thousand gallons.

Careful consideration was given to the impact these rate changes would have on residents and businesses. Below are usage examples of how a residential customer’s bill will change.
