Indianola Municipal Utilities will be accepting applications for the position of Part Time Tier I Technical Support Specialist in the Fiber Department.  The position performs technical support work for both internal and external clients.  Under limited direction, this position provides Tier I technical product support for customers.  Including troubleshooting for wi-fi connection issues and TV remotes as well as general customer technical questions pertaining to IMU Fiber.  Work requires coordination and implementation of assigned and special projects, independent judgement and the ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.  

This position’s responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to, front-line customer service functions for IMU Fiber.  Must be able to effectively communicate product and service information, feature functionality, answer billing questions, schedule installs and explain equipment usage to each customer for all services.

Requirements include high school graduation or equivalent; experience in troubleshooting technical problems; responsible clerical work, including computer operations; ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public; ability to learn assigned tasks readily, to adhere to prescribed routines, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
